Superscreen vs Descript.
An editor that treats video as a document. It transcribes what you said, and deleting a sentence in the transcript deletes it from the recording.

The honest read
Where Descript is the better answer, and where it is not.
What Descript does well
- Editing by transcript is genuinely faster than scrubbing a timeline for talking-head work.
- Filler-word removal, studio sound and a voice clone are all one click.
- Captions are excellent, because the transcript already exists.
Where it runs out of road
- The project lives in their cloud, and the app leans on it.
- The recorder is the least interesting part of it — no capture modes to speak of.
- It is a heavy application, and exporting queues behind a render.
Descript is the better answer once the recording is raw material for a produced video. Superscreen is the better answer for the recording itself — press a shortcut, get a finished local file, no upload and no render queue.
